The board of directors, staff and volunteers of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium are proud to present the annual Aviator Ball on Saturday, May 4, 2019. The event will occur at the Christiansen Jet Center at the Richard L. Jones, Jr. Airport in south Tulsa. This year’s theme is “50 years of Apollo, back to the Moon” and we plan to recognize one of mankind’s greatest achievements—landing on the Moon!
Hors d’oeuvres will begin at 4 p.m. followed by exciting flight demonstrations at 5 p.m., featuring vintage warbirds. Guests will enjoy a plated dinner prepared by one of Tulsa’s finest chefs while learning about upcoming space missions and future events at TASM. Event dress is business casual.
Our keynote speaker, The Honorable Jim Bridenstine, NASA Administrator, will share NASA’s endeavors to return to the moon. Additional guests include Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 17 astronaut Dr. Harrison Schmitt and Apollo 10 astronaut and Oklahoma native General Tom Stafford, among others.
TASM has dedicated itself to preserving aviation history to inspire the youth of our community to pursue STEM-related careers. With your support we can magnify our mission and affect change in our community. We hope you will join us to reflect on mankind’s great achievements in space exploration and celebrate 50 Years of Apollo!
